On February 27th, CRSC was awarded Certificate of Honor by Beijing Municipal Government in the Conference of Beijing Science and Technology Awards for 2014.
The prize-winners in conference showcased the technological innovation and characteristics of Beijing’s technological development. A number of innovations with independent intellectual property rights have become the core power to promote industrial development.
Urbanization is an inevitable trend of economic and social development of China, and as the backbone of urban mass transportation system, the development of rail transportation is an important approach to solve urban traffic problems. The “Urban rail intermittent automatic train control system” developed by CRSC belongs to the technical field of "automatic train control technology (ATC)” in the "rail transportation equipment" item of national major technological innovation project. The automatic train control system developed in the project is the core system in the field of urban rail transit to achieve automatic and intelligent operation of the train, and it has to ensure the safety of related route conditions, as well as intelligent monitoring and the security operation of the train. The system’s wayside and on-board safety computer platforms are completely self-developed, which have the functions of computer interlocking and train automatic protection (ATP); Additionally, the system meets the requirement of three-minute-headway——all together contributing to a ATC system that is with high reliability and high security. The project makes it possible to reduce the system cost and enable the whole system to be more cost-effective by creatively developing the door/screen door linkage and train operation supervision function under the intermittent mode, which overcomes the shortcoming of intermittent mode that it cannot achieve train-wayside bi-directional communication. Its successful application in the first and second phase of Beijing Metro Line 8 was highly praised by the proprietors, and with its advanced technology, the system contributes its share in supporting the sustainable development of the capital’s economy.
The urban rail intermittent train automatic control system has accomplished its engineering and industrialization process, forming a complete set of integration plans, making the key part of the project reaching the international level and the overall technology leading the domestic market.
