Chengdu Railway Communications Equipment Co., Ltd. (CRCEF) was established in Zizhong in 1969, named “Zizhong Communication Factory of Ministry of Railways”, and it moved to Chengdu in 1993 and renamed “Chengdu Railway Communication Equipment Factory”. With the execution of the group development strategy, the Company changed the name again to Chengdu Railway Communications Equipment Co., Ltd. on April 28, 2011. CRCEF is one of the wholly subsidiaries affiliated to China Railway Signal & Communication Corp., which is a professional hi-tech enterprise engaged in manufacturing, machining, design and related technical services of railway signal & communications products; system integration; design and related technical consultancy of low-voltage distribution products; as well as professional hi-tech enterprise of computer system technical services. The Company owns 20 intellectual properties (including 1 invention patent, 3 invention patents being applied, 6 utility model patents and 10 software copyrights).

The Company’s main products include: axle counter series products, axle counting crossing series, microcomputer interlocking, microcomputer monitoring, CTC, TDCS, 25Hz microelectronic receiver for phase detecting track circuit, video surveillance system, GSM-R integrated detection system, leakage cables and antenna feeder system monitoring system, section optical communication system, safety information transmission equipment, optical cable integrated lead-in cabinet for stations, communication cable series products, etc.

CRCEF has been certified to IRIS Operating (Quality) Management System by Germany’s TüV SüD of UNIFE, and accredited by ISO9001 quality management system, ISO14001 environment management system, GB/T28001 occupational health and safety management system. The Company has been recognized as the railway transportation safety equipment manufacturer by the Ministry of Railways, has the Class III computer information system integration qualification, and was awarded the title of AAA grade credit enterprise. CRCEF is the main drafter of the national standard Technical Conditions for Axle Counters of Urban Rail Transit. The Company’s core patented products, axle counter series products, take the lead in China, taking a market share of more than 70%. These products have been certified to the SIL4, which symbolized that the Company’s products and technology have achieved the highest safety integrity level.

 CRCEF's covering an area of more than 6.9 square meters and production building area of more than 2.6 square meters. The total number of employees is 314, including 129 professional and technical staff, accounting for 41.1% of the total employees (14 senior technical title holders and 49 intermediate technical title holders), 279 current workers (113 engineering and technical personnel and 53 people engaged in product development and technical process). The registered capital of CRCEF is RMB 111 million, and China Railway Signal & Communication Corp., as the sole investor enterprise, enjoys all the rights and interests of net assets.
